The Founders
Benoit Dubertret
Benoit Dubertret joined the CNRS in 2002 at the Paris School of Physics and Industrial Chemistry (ESPCI ParisTech), after spending 6 years in the United States. First at MIT, later returning as a post-doc at Rockefeller University (Manhattan, NY) with Albert Libchaber, a pioneer physicist in the interface between physics and biology.
Conscious of the interest and the perspectives offered by nanoparticles, he recruited and led a team of 20 researchers dedicated to Quantum Dots at the Laboratory of Physics and Materials Study (Laboratoire de Physique et d’Étude des Matériaux – LPEM) within the ESPCI. This team, also called “Parisian Quantum Dots”, has become a leading voice within the Quantum Dot community.
Benoit Dubertret is now on leave from the CNRS and is fully dedicated to the development of Nexdot.
Maurice Guillou
Former Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Spie batignolles Group, a major player in the construction industry in France, Maurice Guillou has been Nexdot’s Chairman since its creation in 2010. Thanks to his experience, he brings to Nexdot his expertise, particularly in terms of governance, administration, marketing and business development.
